Understand?
Anyways, this event might be ok if heroes gain exp from skill caps, even though I already went on a huge capping spree and got all elites for my warrior necro and ele...

Noooooooo!!!! - This is some serious bad timing, on my part. I just spent THIS PAST WEEKEND capping about 50 Elite skills! Well, Guess I'm just going to save the last 6 for this weekend. hehe, no matter, I'm not going for any survivor title anyway.
For those complaining about it: quitcherbitchin and be glad that A-Net hosts events of all sorts for all of their customers.

With all due respect, I will enjoy getting this XP (if I can)! Ok, I'm far far away from being XPrienced, I'm newb, I'm... but still I own the game like everyone else.
It's the old "teacher" problem: every year the student sees the teacher's course as something new and cool, but the teacher on the other hand has seen the same (sort of) course year and year again; while the student can be excited about the course, the teacher can be bored by the exact same thing! (and then they can start disagreeing on the interest of the course...)
Question of perspective I guess. But bear in mind that the game has lots of players, with more or less advanced involvement into the game. And there are people that are now like you were months/years ago, they're just starting, or just captured their first elite skill last week, or are about to discover UW or FoX (not me yet ).
While I appreciate the tons of XP I get by reading posts from XPrienced people on this forum, and while I understand the frustration of the "teacher" (I've been one) from the XPrienced GWers, I still think that one should not criticise Anet's decision according to one's point of view only. I think it' perfectly normal that those events happen regularly, until the day that there are no more newcomers to GW (which I hope won't happen soon ).
My 2 cents.

Been there, done that. All my main chars have more skill points than they'll ever need. What ever happened to another double fame weekend? Weren't they talking about bring that back?

Meh, already got the Legendary Survivor, and there is not much use for extra XP other than to attain that title... poor me swimming in skill points. :P
Have fun to those who can use this!

Well this isn't as useful as some of the other weekends but I'm sure people trying for survivor and cappers will appreciate the weekend. I'm just amazed they actually have a weekend event that isn't Elona only (guess it was too much hassle when they tried to change the xp code for nightfall only :P)

I have a ranger and a Dervish that are going to be taking full advantage of this weekend. I needed to cap skills but double xp and on the path to Survivor? Certainly.

I could use some extra skill points in preparation of chapter 4, however I can't cap any more elites. The event is totally useless to me, but I wish other people a good time capping.

I just finished off capping all Proph elites. Looks like I'll start in on Factions elites this weekend.
I just hope this is a prequal to the splitting of the Skill title into 3 Maxable titles.

And switching his secondary constantly to accomodate the caps, which causes unfamiliarity with new builds that just increases the danger of dying even more.
Now that I think about it more, those safer, faster and better ways wouldn't help for tier 1 so I guess the XP bonus would be helpful for those who are only gonna get to tier 1.

This may be easier but a lot more boring. Besides, when capping on your survivor you are working on 2 titles at the same time. I've done 4 survivors this way and it is much more efficient. You just have to becareful with some Ele and Rit bosses or you can avoid those altogether.
I'll be working on my Rit and Para survivors this weekend. Thanks ANet!

Bleh....I can't use my 600 skill points without having....600 freakin K to buy the SoC anyways, so another forgettable weekend for me. For once they should have a double (or should be quadruple) SoC weekend where you get double Signet of capture for the price of one....

Double exp can be used by many people. Double fame weekend just makes more morons standing in town spamming their bambis (not pve sour grapes I am rank10). Sorry but they already dumbed hoh down with cutting time in half in hall and only 3 teams.
